The Guide

Ultimately we invite the Holy Spirit, who we received through our belief in Jesus Christ, to be our guide. God speaks to our spirits through His!

Practically speaking, I will be writing most of the posts in this virtual journey format. I’d much prefer to journey with you in person, but we’ll be online partners here instead. By way of introduction, I am Donna Lamothe, the author and founder of my inSPIRE™ journey. I have been on a personal journey to know God that has me fully convinced that He’s fully there, for anyone wholeheartedly seeking Him! And He promotes life and love and hope, no matter what trials or obstacles face us, as we pay attention to His ways. Sometimes we benefit from the perspective of others to remind us of those truths and of the many choices we actually have in our hard or stuck places. I have gleaned from countless others and trust that something prepared here is meaningful for you.

My own adult journey began with the pursuit of a military financial career, beginning with a Business degree from a Canadian military college, and a subsequent Certified Management Accounting designation. After 13 years of military service I began work as a Financial Manager in an international Christian ministry, and my husband and I prepared to start a church from scratch. I have served in full-time Christian ministry for almost 20 years now, founding and directing a ministry to women married to pastors, then becoming an ordained pastor at the church my husband and I started in Ottawa, Ontario. I have served on Boards bringing hope and relief to the homeless and the disadvantaged both in my hometown and around the world. And, I have pursued my own development in Christian leadership through Arrow Leadership and a Masters in Human Services from Liberty University, specializing in marriage and family. I am now launching my inSPIRE™ journey, an experience for your small group in the Canadian Rocky Mountains, or a writing or speaking resource for your events. I expect to continue enjoying the greatest of experiences with the most unique and wonderful people, like you, from many cultures and countries, demographics, and life seasons. I am grateful for God’s gift of my own family: my husband of almost 25 years, my adult son and teenage daughter, and our beloved pets! I have been blessed beyond description.
